Huntington Alumni Association Party on Sunday

Huntington High School alums are a proud group.

May 5, 2017

The Huntington High School Alumni Association is throwing a party on Sunday (May 7) at Finnegan’s Restaurant & Tap Room from 2-5 p.m. All alums are invited to attend. The suggested donation at the door is $10.

Billed as the “Blue Devil Throwback,” proceeds from the event will support the Alumni Association’s 2017 scholarship program, alumni cups and costs related to taking the organization to the next level.

Sunday’s event will include food, raffles and prizes. Teachers past and present and some surprise guest coaches are expected to be in attendance. Alumni are encouraged to wear whatever Blue Devil apparel they have in their closet.

Special commemorative pint glasses embossed with a special Huntington High School alumni seal on one side and the famous Finnegan’s name on the other will be given to anyone donating $20. Visit to view the event flyer.

As word has spread about the event, alums have been reaching out to the organization to indicate they’ll be coming on Sunday. Some are calling it a mini alumni reunion. Those turning out for the event can stay for as long or as little as they so desire between 2-5 p.m.

Class of 1979 member Tom DiGiacomo is the Alumni Association’s president. Marilyn Rusch Maggio (’85) is vice-president with Mike Connell (’79) serving as treasurer and Emily Rogan (’83) filling the post of recording secretary. The organization’s website also includes information about upcoming class reunions and there’s even digital copies of several yearbooks with more editions planned.
