The Woodhull Intermediate School student council has always been a constructive force around the building and in the community. Every indication is that the organization will continue to be just that as the new school year gets underway in earnest.
This year’s Woodhull Eagles student council executive board consists of President Adrianna Abbatiello, Vice President Jake Amend, Secretary Kiera Coulter and Treasurer Reese Rinaldi. Teachers Diane Grassi and Scott Armyn serve as the group’s faculty advisors.
Class representatives will round out the student government’s leadership. Every student in the building is invited to participate in the organization’s activities and share in the experiences the group provides.

The four executive board members will be working closely with Ms. Grassi and Mr. Armyn throughout the year to plan and execute a number of initiatives. The youngsters recently made an appearance before the Huntington School Board and flawlessly carried out their speaking roles,
The student leaders will also be collaborating with Woodhull Principal Traci Roethel and Assistant Principal Jarrett Stein on several projects throughout the year.
The organization is big on community service and the current school year will be no different. There will be collections of food, clothing and funds to be shared with others in need. There will also be campaigns to promote awareness of pressing concerns and opportunities to help make a difference in the world.
Few organizations can match the energy and enthusiasm that the Woodhull student council has demonstrated over the years. Its leaders have moved on to excel in every academic discipline as well as in the fine and performing arts, athletics and in a long list of career fields.
